The last few days here in WA have been really great. The sun has been out and warming things up. The boys have spent a lot of time outside playing. We even went out for a picnic on Friday at a park by the river. This particular park has an older playground, the type I would've played on as a kid.
If you have kids then you've noticed playground technology has advanced significantly since our playground days. The climbing structures are not made of wood any longer, the slides are not metal, and tire swings are a thing of the past. New playgrounds are made mostly of plastic and rubber. And remember those playground merry-go-rounds? I'm sure it was too "dangerous" so those are long gone.
Well this playground apparently has flow under the radar of playground "safety" activist types, so we had all those fun features of yesteryear to play with. By far the most popular was the merry-go-round.
Pics to come.
