If you listen to Christian radio, you've most likely heard a song called How Many Kings. It's a new Christmas song by (you guessed it) Downhere. You can hear it on their MySpace profile, along with a few other favorites, or listen to it while you read what band members Jeremy and Glenn have to say about it. (Lyrics are there too.)

My favorite thing about it is that it's not another run-of-the-mill Christmas song with the requisite Baby Jesus, star, Magi, etc. But then again, they're not a run-of-the-mill Christian band. In their usual way, Downhere manages to drive right at the heart of what it (in this case, Christmas) means. They always seem to make me feel the weight of the words and the greatness of God's love and mercy. How much He must love us to send Jesus... Nobody else could come close.

This song is actually the song that converted me from my Carols-Only ways.

So if you need to pick up a good stocking-stuffer ("stuffing stockers" at our house; long story), preferably for somebody who lives in your house so you can hear it too, you can grab a copy of Bethlehem Skyline, which includes this song as well as other good ones, on the Centricity Records online store or if you like to go digital get the song or cd instantly.
