One of his recent favorite things are playing with a toy vacuum. He'll push/drag this thing around the entire house. I bought this for Caleb sometime last year before Micah was born, and it got only a little bit of play time. We actually never even put batteries in it. But since Micah has been so interested in it, Bryan finally put batteries in it yesterday for the first time. Unfortunately it does not do any actual cleaning. :)

Much fun has also been had on the bus ride-on toy. It plays a school-bus rendition of This Old Man and honks a playful little horn. Of course, the lights flash too. Luckily, Micah likes to ride it more than he pushes the buttons. Surprisingly, or not, Caleb also digs scooting about on this toy.

But I think Bryan and I could agree that Micah's favorite thing to play with is...

Yup. Spoons of any material, shape, size, and color. He loves to carry them around as he wanders the house, while he eats, while he plays. Sometimes he pretends to eat or feed others with them, but most often he is simply holding them. Often one in each hand. He knows how to get them out of the boys' plasticware drawer, and when the dishwasher is being unloaded, he runs to get one before I put them all away. Forks are not as prized, but will sometimes do in a pinch.

LOL! Spoons! Who would have ever guessed?! And Josiah loves those vacuum cleaners WITHOUT the batteries -- the goofy noises actually freak him out. The REAL vacuum doesn't bother him a bit -- actually loves to ride on it. But those strange noises from the toy one keep him at a distance.
