Last season Bryan and I got really into Jericho on CBS. After watching the season finale, we found out that it was being canceled. We were mad, because the last episode was a real cliff hanger! That's not mentioning all the other hooks the show had inserted into us over the whole season.
Apparently we weren't the only ones who thought so. A legion of fans petitioned through emails and letters, and something else:
Fans also sent just over 20 tons of nuts to CBS headquarters, in a reference to a scene in the final episode where Jake Green repeats General Anthony McAuliffe's historic phrase "Nuts!" from the Battle of Bastogne.[17] The network said that it would donate the nuts to charity.[18]So now the show will be revived for at least 7 more episodes and hopefully a longer third season. Also, the first season will be rerunning this summer. This is one of only a few instances of fans saving their beloved shows. I think it's really cool. And you should get hooked too, so we can keep good shows on the air and low-class junk away!
