My dad, stepmom, and brother left this morning. They were only here since Friday night. My sister, who's been here since Wednesday night, is leaving this evening. After that, it's life back to normal.

On Sunday we went to Sacramento, or more specifically, Old Sacramento. This section of town dates back to the Gold Rush and has lots of shops, restaurants, museums, but most importantly (to Caleb), it has a working steam train that gives rides along the Sacramento River.

We rode that first, then visited some shops. We checked out magic shops, costume shops, souvenir shops, and even a shop featuring Peruvian crafts. In another shop, my sister, stepmom, and I had an old-time portrait taken. Check it out:


Fun was had by all. Bryan and I really enjoyed Old Sacramento and we hope to return for Gold Rush Days .
