Andi might say I'm nesting, but I say I'm finally getting my pent-up creativity out... I redid the lampshades on our living room lamps (they were just plain white before) and here's how they turned out.


Pretty cute, I think, and simple to do. I painted the shades with Metallic Pale Gold acrylic paint then covered hem with gathered light gold fabric which I adhered at the top and bottom with hot glue. I got the fancy sheer mesh fabric at Walmart for $1/yard (3 yards per shade) and the paint was about a dollar at Michael's.


I actually finished this project yesterday, and today I did some (gasp!) sewing. Will post some on that tomorrow most likely...
