I made bbq chicken wings for dinner tonight, and it reinforced the Carrier Theory. This is a theory advanced by Andi, which states that some foods you eat simply for the topping/seasoning.

For instance, popcorn is a carrier. The main draw of eating popcorn is the salty buttery goodness.

Caramel apple cider can also be a carrier, the main draw being the caramel. But apple cider can also be good on its own.

Barbecue wings are a carrier. Wings are pretty much worthless without the barbecue sauce, since they have very little meat. But throw on some hickory smoke flavor barbecue sauce, and you are in Yum City.

I think this theory is nearing "law" status -- it's been proven time and time again :)
